At least five die in anti-UN protests in DR Congo

Demonstrations against the UN peacekeeping force have taken place in Butembo and Goma.

At least five people have died during demonstrations against the UN peacekeeping force (Monusco) in Goma and Butemmbo in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Protesters want the mission to leave.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa on the last leg of his African tour, after earlier holding talks with Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni.

And Kenya's presidential candidates' debates go ahead, despite two of the four contenders pulling out.
