
Nigerian Senator accused of organ-harvesting plot in the UK
A prominent Nigerian senator and his wife have been charged with conspiring to transport a child into the UK to harvest organs.
A Nigerian senator has been charged with conspiring to transport a boy to the UK in order to harvest organs. Ike Ekweremadu, 60, and his wife Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court in west London.
Also, the Ethiopian government has accused the Tigray People's Liberation Front of banning aid flights carrying medical supplies and food. In a statement, the government said the TPLF had temporarily suspended planes from using Mekele Airport.
A Clean- up exercise is underway in The Gambia following an oil spill. Over seventy thousand litres of heavy fuel were discharged on the riverbanks and into the sea, sparking fears of a looming environmental disaster.
