Christian student’s killing in Nigerian city condemned

Religious and political leaders in Nigeria have appealed for calm following the killing of a Christian student accused of blasphemy against Islam. The young woman was attacked by Muslim students at her college in the northern city of Sokoto.

Somalia’s next president will be decided on Sunday, but ordinary citizens do not have a vote.

And a Kenyan nurse has won the first ever global nursing award that has a prize of $250,000.
