Tanzania’s president leads Covid-19 vaccine drive

President Samia Suluhu Hassan is leading a drive to vaccinate Tanzanians against Covid-19, in a marked break from the policies of predecessor John Magufuli. The president received her own jab on Wednesday, while Mr Magufuli had played down the virus, calling for prayer instead of vaccines and masks, prior to his death in March.
