African countries face third Covid-19 wave

The World Health Organisation says African countries are facing a third Covid-19 wave. It’s Africa Regional Director, Dr. Moeti Mashidiso, says a combination of public fatigue, inability to sustain Covid-19 measures and circulation of new variants could be behind it.

Vote counting underway in Ethiopia’s elections but voting continues in some areas due to logistical issues.
