Ethiopian peacekeepers refuse to leave South Sudan
The Ethiopian peacekeepers, of Tigrayan ethinicity, have refused to return home, saying they fear persecution.
The Ethiopian army concedes 15 members of its peacekeeping contingent in South Sudan have refused to return home. It comes as reports of anti-Trigrayan discrimination and profiling increase.
A report by ACAPS says hundreds of thousands of people in the Central African Republic have been internally displaced by rebel attacks since December and more than 117,000 are living in truly dire conditions and unable to return home.
