Zanzibar’s First Vice-President Seif Sharif Hamad has died.

Mr Hamad was the most prominent politician in Tanzania to have openly declared that he had contracted Covid-19. No official reason has been given for his death.

Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has accused the chief justice of bias because of his close association to President Yoweri Museveni. He wants Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo to recuse himself from hearing a petition challenging the re-election of the president.
