
Zambia: Shots fired as security forces break up opposition gathering
A crowd had gathered to show support for opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema
Hichilema, who is president of the United Party for National Development, was summoned to police headquarters in the capital, Lusaka for questioning.
The United Nations children's agency, UNICEF is appealing for help for more than a quarter of a million children, facing severe challenges along with people displaced by the violence within Cabo Delgado in Mozambique.
And, Nzambi Matee from Kenya has been named one of seven winners of the United Nations Environment Programme’s 2020 Young Champions of the Earth award. The award recognises young entrepreneurs under the age of 30 with bold ideas for sustainable environmental change.
