Coronavirus: Ghana’s president grants amnesty to over 800 prisoners

The move aims to decongest Ghana’s prisons during the coronavirus outbreak.

President Akufo-Addo grants amnesty to over eight hundred prisoners. The freed prisoners include first time offenders who have served half of their sentences, seriously ill prisoners and three aged prisoners.
