Remembering the huge inferno that tore through the village of Westoning in 1976.
In September 1976 the quiet village of Westoning was rocked by an enormous explosion cased by a petrol tanker crashing along the high street.
Miraculously, no-one was killed – but it resulted in families being left homeless and businesses destroyed.
And for those who witnessed it, memories that remain vivid 50 years later.
Paul Joslin hears their story.
