The Worthington Lock-Up

In a corner of North West Leicestershire near Calke Abbey lies the village of Worthington. At the centre of the village is the "Worthington Lock-up". The lock-up used to provide an overnight cell for drunks to sober up, or for criminals ahead of their court dates.
Dating from the late 1700s, it was also called the “round house” even though it’s octagonal! Fully sober, Ben Jackson ventured in for a closer look.
