'A good enough marriage is a pretty good marriage'

This week is Listener Week, the week on Woman's Hour where all the topics have been decided by you! We kicked off with a discussion about 'good enough' marriages.

This suggestion came from a listener who wanted to remain anonymous. She's called marriage 'the next big taboo after the menopause' - and believes that unrealistic expectations are making it hard for couples to be open about how they actually feel.

Psychotherapist Julia Samuel and author Natasha Lunn joined Kylie Pentelow to chat about what 'good enough' marriages are, and how to know if you're in one. They discuss the importance of 'rupture and repair' and share why 'good enough' is still good.

What do you think about the phrase 'good enough' marriages? Can you relate? Comment below.

Listen back to the full conversation on BBC Sounds - it's the Woman's Hour episode from 3 August.
