Filmmaker’s search for ‘lost’ Star Wars toys

A Leicestershire film maker wants to get Palitoy from Coalville on the map ahead of the film Star Wars' 50th birthday in 2027.

Matt Holt is making a tongue-in-cheek documentary about the myth of lost vintage Star Wars toys made by Palitoy believed to have been dumped in a field near Coalville and covered over.

But Stuart Warburton from the Coalville Heritage Society says the myth has got muddled over the years and that’s why people think they can still be recovered.
