'We've been to the circus 70 times in 12 months'

The family of a Worcestershire schoolboy says the shows are 'life-changing' for their seven-year-old, who is autistic.

Joe, his brother and his parents have visited every UK location Uncle Sam's American Circus performed at, travelling thousands of miles in the process, becoming part of the circus family.

Dad Charles says they noticed how positive the experience of seeing a show was for their son, particularly seeing GaGa the Clown.

Joe, who goes to school in Pershore, can often struggle to sit still or stay engaged, but at the circus, his dad says, he is calm, focused and completely absorbed.

The pair tell Elliott Webb about their unexpected close connection to this particular circus and the kindness shown to the family.
