The 79th Cannes Film Festival is Underway with No Major Hollywood Studio Present

The 79th Cannes Film Festival is underway on the French Riviera. Last year the world's most famous film festival launched Oscar-nominated movies including Norway's 'Sentimental Value' and Brazil's 'The Secret Agent.' This year though, there's some dismay as no major Hollywood studio is showing a movie there, although some of world's most prestigious auteurs including Pedro Almodovar, Hirokazu Koreeda and Cristian Mungiu have films in Competition.
