How Lovejoy put Essex villages on the map
It's 40 years since a charming yet slightly rogue antiques dealer played by Ian McShane appeared on our TV screens. Lovejoy was originally a series of detective novels by Colchester author Jonathan Gash, first published in 1977, and now the much-loved series is going to be remade.
