Bristol surgeons rebuild Bath boy’s jaw with own rib
Seven year old William was born with Treacher Collins syndrome, which restricts the development of his lower jaw and airways.
He had his lower jaw rebuilt, using bone grafts from his own ribs, which means he can now breathe without a tracheostomy for the first time.
BBC Radio Bristol’s Joe Sims heard from his mum and one of the surgeons.
