Looking Back in 2025: Mass Iftar in Leicester
Looking back in 2025: It was way back in March (when the weather was significantly warmer!) that a street Iftar was organised near Leicester's clock tower - the first ever in Leicester city centre we think.
Iftar is the name of the meal eaten after sunset during the holy month of Ramadan. Dozens of Muslims gathered in Church Gate to break their fast together. It was quite a moment. Mahomed Jussab was one of the organisers and spoke to BBC Leicester's Ellis Maddison.
