Everest pioneer pursues new path
In 1975 Doug Scott became the first British person to reach the summit of Everest.
He still climbs and is becoming concerned about the state of some mountain paths in the UK. He has now joined a campaign to help pay for the upkeep of these ancient paths.
Andrew Bomford has been talking to him and fellow hikers in the Lake District.
