Chris Grayling “peddling myths" about EU
Damian Green says his fellow Conservative MP Chris Grayling is “peddling myths about Britain and Europe” in a Daily Telegraph article critical of the UK’s relationship with the EU.
Mr Grayling, the leader of the House of Commons, wrote that it would be "disastrous" for Britain to stay in the EU under the current terms of membership.
“The key myth in Chris's article is when he says there are calls for still more integration. It is a very explicit and very important part of the Prime Minister's renegotiation that Britain won't be committed to ever closer union,” Mr Green, who is part of the Britain Stronger in Europe campaign, told the Today programme.
