David Cameron: 'Without the restrictions of the Liberal Democrats we were able to do something radical'
Prime Minister David Cameron has told Today his party is delivering what was promised.
"We’re delivering the things we said we would," he said
"It’s been a strong start."
Regarding immigration, Mr Cameron said his government is taking "a range of steps".
"You can only control immigration if you control welfare," he said.
Addressing his previous usage of the word ‘swarm' to describe migrants, the Prime Minister said "I don’t accept that I was trying to dehumanise these people."
Mr Cameron added "we should be changing our relationship with the EU."
"And give ourselves greater control."
Asked about the delays to the Chilcot report on the Iraq war, Mr Cameron said "it is immensely frustrating."
