Northumberland bone marrow donor to meet LA child he saved
Barry Crackett from Northumberland, who donated bone marrow says he was “gobsmacked” when doctors phoned him years later to say the marrow was sent to a little boy in Los Angeles. He tells Rachel Burden “he had tears in his eyes” when he got a recieved a letter from the family, and that he has flown to LA to meet the seven-year-old and his family.
