Polecat sighting
Simon King goes to a public hide at College Lake in Buckinghamshire to try to film wild polecats. They've been reported to drink from the pond there. After a few false alarms he finally sees one⦠then a second. Simon is delighted and comments 'you wait 46 years to see a polecat then two turn up at once!' One polecat eats caterpillars off the nettles. Simon has seen these ones because there is a den nearby with well-grown kits. The chances of seeing them elsewhere is tiny.
