Home Is Where Your Family Is

Episode 4 of 4

It’s a big week at the lake and there is still a mountain of work to do. Stacey says goodbye to Zach as he heads to America, while Joe cheers her up with an unlikely upcycling project.

It’s finally here! With just days to go before Stacey and Joe welcome friends and family to the lake, the pressure is on to get everything finished. But before the final push begins, there’s an emotional goodbye as Stacey takes Zach to the airport for his journey to America. Back at home, the family FaceTime’s him on the plane, while Joe tries to cheer Stacey up with a rather unexpected present – an old rowing boat for her to upcycle.

With four days to go, Joe, Stacey and the boys start the countdown at the lake, but there’s still a huge amount to do. The boys take a break from the hard work to mess around in the water, while Stacey reflects on just how much they’ve taken on.

With one day to go, Joe and Greg are still bickering over logs, Stacey and Jemma are baking a very special lake cake and the final preparations are well underway. The kids even put on their own talent show before the big day. Then it’s the big day. After a frantic final push to get everything ready, family and friends arrive and Stacey and Joe finally get to see all their hard work come together. As the sun sets over the lake, they reflect on how far they’ve come.

And just as one chapter reaches its end, another begins. The following morning, the family pack up the car and say goodbye to Pickle Cottage.
