Humanity's very survival depends on water. But global reserves are rapidly shrinking with no end in sight thanks to unmitigated climate change, population growth and poor resource management. Over two-thirds of the global population are faced with water stress, while millions have already been displaced by intense water scarcity which is now replacing oil as the most likely cause of global conflict.
Hannah Fry learns about the different ways in which technology could help secure humanity’s future water needs. She witnesses the effects of water scarcity in Kenya and learns about how technological solutions are currently being harnessed to reverse this dire situation.
