Way With Words 2026: Joe Talbot from Idles, Questlove, and Liverpool Rocks

Craig celebrates National Poetry Day with special guests Joe Talbot of Idles and Questlove. Craig also debuts a poem celebrating the Liverpool music scene.

It's National Poetry Day, and here on 6 Music, we're celebrating all things spoken word, poetry and lyrics with 6 Music's Way With Words.

To mark the occasion, Craig will be joined in-conversation by Joe Talbot of Idles, who'll be talking about his love of poetry, his writing process, and how his approach to songwriting has changed over the years. And Questlove will be talking about his favourite lyrics of all time.

Finally, Craig will also be sharing a new poem - Liverpool Rocks - dedicated to the Liverpool music scene, from the split of The Beatles in 1970 up until the 90s, and how the city has always punched above its weight when it comes to music.

It's a veritable feast of voices celebrating 6 Music's Way With Words.
