Tom Service provides the ideal soundtrack for Saturday morning, with the best classical music in new and landmark recordings and one or two surprise guests introducing their own releases.

Three artists join Tom this morning. Cellist Jean Guihen Queryas is performing the Bach Cello Suites at Wigmore Hall and takes time out of his busy rehearsal day to tell Tom his current plans and passions.

And in The Creators, British composer Dame Judith Weir discusses her piece Thread!, inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry. Thread! is 45 years old this year, and with the Bayeux Tapestry opening at the British Museum on the 10th September, Tom thought it no better time to talk about how the Tapestry continues to inspire artists to this day.
