Shanequa Paris and Calum Leslie Hour One take the pressure off!
Sometimes it feels like social media has convinced us that everything needs to be upgraded, optimised or aestheticised. The perfect nails, the perfect gym set, the perfect lunch... but what if we just took some of the pressure off?
Painting your own nails instead of going to the salon. Rewearing an outfit you've already posted. Buying cheap gym clothes instead of a matching expensive set. Making your own lunch instead of ordering it. Reusing the same water bottle, taking your own coffee to work or simply staying in on a Friday night!
Plus are you starting a new college, uni or school? Maybe you get the Sunday scaries before a new week at work. Or perhaps even replying to a message or walking into a room full of people can make your stomach drop. We're talking social anxiety - why does it happen, why can our brains make everyday situations feel so overwhelming, and what can we actually do to make those moments easier?
We're joined by anxiety specialist Joshua Fletcher, aka Anxiety Josh, to help us understand what's going on and share practical ways to manage those nerves.
