Tom Service with a transatlantic trio of guests

Tom Service plays the best classical music alongside the latest stories in the arts world, and meets soprano Angel Blue, pianist Bruce Liu and composer Joan Tower.

Tom Service provides the ideal soundtrack for Saturday morning, with the best classical music, in new and landmark recordings, and one or two surprise guests introducing their own releases.

Three artists from across the pond join Tom this morning. Soprano Angel Blue is performing at the BBC Proms this weekend with Chineke! Orchestra, and takes time out of her schedule to tell Tom her current plans and passions.

Canadian pianist Bruce Liu plays in the studio: music from his new album Lunaris, which is inspired by moonlight.

And in The Creators, American composer Joan Tower considers her game-changing Fanfares for the Uncommon Woman, which are forty years old this year, and also feature in the BBC Proms.
