Alan meets a grumpy goat while he’s out fishing.
“I've got a quick story for you,” says Alan in Carryduff. “Many years ago I went fishing on the River Bann, near Ballymoney, beside a long green field with a billy goat. He was tethered to a big stake with about 20 yards of rope. When he saw me, he would headbutt the fence, and try and headbutt me.”
“Oh, he didn’t like you,” Sean says, “I see.”
“And one day the rope was so taut I thought he was going to get me. I am convinced he was the great great granddaddy of Farmer Wade's goat.”
“Could well be...” Sean says. “You should send a photograph. Perhaps we could identify the rascal.”
