Between the Ears in miniature returns with new short works themed around Midsummer Dreaming. Airing in the run-up to our dream-like night of adventurous radio, featuring treasures from the BBC Radio 3 archives from sunset until sunrise on the summer solstice.

Falling is a journey to the edge of sleep, where consciousness loosens its grip and the ordinary becomes strange. Guided by a witch, an anaesthetist and a professor of sleep, we drift towards unconsciousness and back again, lingering at the fragile threshold between awareness and oblivion.
