Kathryn Tickell selects the best roots-based music from around the world, including new sounds from Ghanaian singer, multi-instrumentalist and seperewa player Nana Osei Twum Barima as well as the Berlin-based outfit Jembaa Groove. And, on the eve of her UK tour with London Contemporary Orchestra, Pakistani singer-composer Arooj Aftab offers up her two Return Journey choices: a track that reminds her of travelling and one that takes her home.
