To mark Miles Davis' centenary, Gilles invites music polymath Emma-Jean Thackray and her band to Maida Vale to present Dear Miles: A Love Letter, her new project that explores and reinterprets Miles's classics.
In this special monographic episode, Gilles traces the iconic trumpeter’s career back and plays his favourite and most legendary releases. We also hear from fellow artists such as Erykah Badu, Johnny Marr, Sheila Morris-Grey, and Dee Dee Bridgewater about their encounters with Miles’ music. Plus, extracts from interviews with Herbie Hancock, Gary Bartz, and Billy Cobham.
