Violinist Ray Chen in the studio
Sara Mohr-Pietsch welcomes violinist Ray Chen to the show - and plays the perfect classical soundtrack for the weekend.
Sara Mohr-Pietsch with guests, stories and the perfect classical soundtrack this weekend.
Sara's guest is the violinist Ray Chen, who has redefined what it means to be a classical superstar. Whether it's on concert stages, through his teaching resources or via talking relatably about music and the violin via his social media channels, Ray has reached millions with his magnetic playing and love of people. He's in London to play Korngold's much-loved Hollywood-infused concerto and pops into the studio to chat to Sara.
And as our focus on 'Creators' continues - Sara talks to the legendary American folk singer songwriter and activist Peggy Seeger. Now 90 and having written what she calls her "absolutely final album", Peggy chats about how some of her most famous protest anthems were made.
