4. Relationship Woes

The fifth book in the series of readings from Adrian’s diaries, written by Sue Townsend. It starts in 2002 with Adrian aged 34 and covers the controversial period of the Iraq War.

Adrian attends a crisis meeting with the Flowers family and meets Marigold’s older sister Daisy.

He tries in vain to end his relationship with Marigold.

As war looms, Adrian is unwavering in his support for Prime Minister Tony Blair and military action, even though his eldest son Glenn is facing deployment to the Gulf.
