Sport Relief 2026

Jill Scott has completed her Coming Home Challenge for Sport Relief

After days of pushing through relentless miles, tough conditions, and sheer exhaustion, she’s crossed the finish line in Sunderland - back where it all began.

This was never just about the distance. It was about community, belonging, and giving back. And thanks to your incredible support, that impact will go far beyond this challenge.

We can’t thank you enough for being part of Jill’s incredible journey. And there’s still time to show your support - donate today and help change lives. At least half of the funds raised from Jill’s Sport Relief challenge will support local Sport for Change projects, with the remainder funding Comic Relief’s wider work.

Jill Scott's Coming Home Challenge

Football icon Jill Scott MBE Challenge for Sport Relief was about her making her way home. Not just to a place, but to the people and communities that shaped her.

Tackling an extraordinary five day, 388-mile journey across England, Jill ran and cycled from London’s Wembley Stadium to The Stadium of Light in Sunderland, via stand-out stadiums of her professional career and the grassroots club where it all began.

Jill travelled through Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester before finishing in the North East, a place she calls home.

Jill Scott's Coming Home Challenge for Sport Relief is about helping more people find a place they can call home, and giving back to the communities that offer a sense of belonging, confidence and support when people need it most.

At least half of the funds raised through Jill’s Sport Relief challenge will directly fund Sport for Change projects in local communities – including initiatives that use football, running, cycling and boxing to create safe spaces for people young and old, bringing them together and providing safety and security when it’s needed most – with remaining funds invested in Comic Relief's wider work.

Donate online to support Jill’s efforts and help make every mile matter.
