Di Chairman of di Ghanaian Community for Mthatha and di oda environs Dr. Yirenkyi Gyekye Darko tell BBC pidgin say tins don calm down for dia area afta di protest wey happun last week.

E say "di Ghanaians return to dia normal life wey businesses don dey go on as usual since di last Thursday protest."

According to Dr Darko, di protest wey happun for dia area na di first time anti-immigration march like dat happun for Mthatha for ova 30 years.

E say di foreigners and locals for dat area get good relationship for many years.

"I don dey hia for ova 30 years, wit di oda Ghanaians, wey don dey hia for a long time, some bin come on contract and oda arrangement, but we and di locals dey very fine since den. Na only last Thursday, we see say dem do protest for hia, dis place always dey peaceful."

Oga Darko say dem get notice say dem go do anoda protest for di area for 11 May.

"We bin dey put plans in place for di May demonstration, so nobody go dey affected for hia. I bin contact dia station commanders for Mthatha and dem dey alert," oga Darko explain.

E add say "We don discuss wit di mayor for dis area and oda pipo, so dem dey on top of di mata ahead of di 11 May protest for hia."

Di Mthatha community chairman say make dia family and friends wey dey Ghana remain calm sake of di situation dey under control.

"Di South Africa president during im address for di National Freedom Day celebration chook mouth for dis mata, wey mean say tins go beta. We dey hope say tins go return to normal across oda parts of di kontri."

Im advise di Ghanaians wey dey stay for Pretoria and oda surrounding communities say make dem stay indoors and avoid gathering as a group for public at dis time.

"Di high commissioner bin send notice to us and oda community leaders ahead of di Pretoria protest. Im tok say make we no involve for any protest, make pipo dey dia house."

Earlier, di Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) bin issue advisory to Nigerian citizens for di southern kontri, and advise dem to take caution and avoid areas wey trouble fit escalate.

Nidcom advise Nigerians to avoid confrontation, stay away from protest areas and closely monitor local media for updates.

Di statement add say Nigeria diplomatic mission for Johannesburg go dey open and go dey work wit South African security agencies to ensure di safety of dia citizens.

NIDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri wey give di informate say, "Africa Union gatz intervene for dis dastardly xenophobic attacks against blacks for South Africa".

Xenophobia for long don be issue for South Africa and dey occasionally lead to outbursts of deadly violence.

Ghana Foreign Affairs Ministry say dia officials don also meet South Africa acting high commissioner to Ghana, Thando Dalamba, and don raise formal protest ontop di recent "xenophobic incidents" against foreigners, including dia citizens.

South Africa na home to about 2.4 million migrants, just less dan 4% of di population, according to official figures. However, belief dey say many more dey di kontri unofficially.
