Weekdays

Laura Pittson

Weekdays 13:00 - 16:00

1. How did you get into radio?
Like most people… I made the tea for a radio show, and ended up reading travel and weather for them.

Laura Pittson

2. What was your first broadcast?
This was on a show called Media Zoo which was a technology programme (anyone who knows me will understand that I'm a complete technophobe!) but I was there to represent the "average person"!

3. What other jobs have you done besides broadcasting?
I was a professional dancer for 10 years, and I taught ballet, modern, tap and acting in between (in fact I still do coach lessons sometimes).

4. What would you like to be if you weren’t a radio presenter?
A dancing teacher or an animal trainer.

5. What would listeners be surprised to learn about you?
I speak fluent French.

6. Which person would you most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?
Jonathon Ross or Dolly Parton.

7. If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Move to Monte Carlo.

8. What is your worst habit?
It's more a trait than a habit, but I'm very impatient, and I can't give up until I get something.

9. Tell us about your 1st:
Car: This was a clapped out Fiat. The stereo had a Soul II Soul tape stuck in it.
Job: Helping out at the dancing school on Saturdays. This mostly involved taking babies to the loo during class!
Record/CD: The Wombles.
Kiss: Chris Wilson, he was the son of the headmaster of my brother's school!

10. What is your favourite?
Food: Smoked Salmon.
Sandwich: Smoked Salmon!! Or a great big French baguette with Mozarella.
Place in Oxfordshire: Blewberry.
Item of Clothing: I love summer skirts… I've got loads of them… oh and flip flops!
Song: Liza Minelli - Cabaret.
Singer: Dolly Parton and Julie London. Enrique Inglesias and Shakira.
Film: Waterloo Bridge and Legends of the Fall.
TV Show: The Apprentice.
