February the 8th 2006 is the date of the 48th annual Grammy Awards, the biggest event in the musical calendar. World famous nominees include Mariah Carey, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, U2, Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Madonna and many many more. However, lets not forget the throng of homegrown talent up for awards too, such as Gorillaz, Paul McCartney, Keane, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Fatboy Slim, Coldplay and Franz Ferdinand.
