Welcome
Welcome to the second of our BBC newsletters looking ahead to the 2008 Olympics and Paralympics, as well as, of course, to the London Games in 2012. Olympic years ending in the number 8 have a special relevance here in the UK, and as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the London Games in 1908, as well as the 60th anniversary of the 1948 Olympics, we will be doing everything we can to ensure that your enjoyment of this Olympic and Paralympic year is particularly memorable. Colleagues from across the BBC are keeping you updated in this newsletter on what we're doing both this year and as part of our plans for London 2012. You will see information about our preparations for the Beijing Games; our new Olympics website; the latest on BBC London and BBC Essex activities; the BBC's Big Screens initiative with Chinese communities here in the UK; and some personal reflections from BBC London's Olympics Correspondent, Adrian Warner. What I would welcome is your feedback on what you read in this newsletter. Please use the link below to get in contact with the BBC's Olympics and Paralympics Co-ordinating Group. As I said in our first newsletter, we will strive to make the BBC's Olympic and Paralympic experience the most creative and ambitious content offer the BBC has ever brought to our audiences: both this year and throughout the London Olympiad.
