Colin Gunn - your views

A convicted killer accused of using a corrupt detective to get information is found guilty.

Colin Gunn has been found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to cause misconduct in public office. He was sentenced to 9 years on each count to run alongside the life sentence he received in connection with the murder of an elderly couple in Lincolnshire last year.

The chief constable of Nottinghamshire police has likened Colin Gunn to a modern day Kray after he ran a criminal network across the city.

This case raises issues of crime and policing, especially in the Bestwood Estate. Here are some comments that came in about the case.

If all the people who think that the "Bestwood Estate" is now not safe to live because a murderer has gone to prison "and, not before time". Get off your backsides and pull together to make Bestwood the Best for your children! YOU MAKE IT SAFE YOURSELVES... This animal has caused misery and fear in the lives of many people. His countless victims have got to get on with there lives with some painful memories. Wake up Bestwood!

Justice is always done in the end. In this instance the police cannot be commended for it, it was God who carried it out. This will always be the case where humans carry out such horrific acts

Colin Gunn was a parasite on the city of Nottingham and it's towns folk. He thought he had the power of life and death over people, but now he will rot for at least 35 years in prison.

phil,bestwood
