Lea Walker was evicted from the Big Brother house after taking 53.8% of the public vote. The 35-year-old single Mum from Carlton, is happy to be back in the real world, and in particular Nottingham, after seven weeks in the Big Brother house. "It's really surreal but I love it. People are being so nice and so sweet. They want my autograph!" Will fame change her? Will her friends still accept her now she's a celebrity? "My mates are my mates. My friends know me. I'm not a celeb, I've just been on holiday for a couple of months with my mates." Getting booedWhen Lea entered, and left, the Big Brother house she was booed and heckled. She admits it was a terrifying experience. | "Thank you to everyone in Nottingham, you're all wicked people. I'm so glad I'm from Nottingham." | | Lea Walker |
"I was petrified. The boos were awful, I've never been so scared in my life. You're ushered through the crowds and I was called names, I just wanted to get in. [But] it was more frightening to come out than go in." Lea was encouraged to become a housemate by her 11 year-old son 'H' and admits she found a temporary replacement in the Big Brother house. "Half of me was missing all of the time I was in there. [But] Pete reminded me so much of my son... He's a fantastic human being." The futureIt's unlikely we won't have seen the last of Lea. Apart from bumping into her in the street, she's been offered all manner of opportunities on TV. However, she's likely to find it difficult to leave Nottingham again. "Thank you to everyone in Nottingham, you're all wicked people. I'm so glad I'm from Nottingham."
