Chairman, Stephen Knowles, is even taking to the catwalk to promote the organisation! Stephen Knowles is an arable, pig and sheep farmer who works in partnership with his parents near Boroughbridge. In April he took over as County Chairman for the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs for 2009/10. He is a previous Vice Chairman who first joined his local club when he was just 13 and became its chairman when he was 24. As well as being County Chairman, Stephen is heavily involved in other farming groups and associations, including the Boroughbridge and Aldborough Show. This year it is on 19 July, just days after the Great Yorkshire Show. ![]() In a bid to promote the Young Farmers' clubs even more, Stephen has agreed to try his hand at catwalk modelling! He and six other members have been shortlisted in the first ever Model Young Farmer competition, being held on the first day of the GYS They will be strutting their stuff in four fashion shows during the day. Admission to the shows will be free to show visitors. As well as taking part in the competition to heighten the profile of Young Farmers' Clubs, Stephen is also in with a chance of winning a prize.
