Pikes back where they belong!

By Henry
Pickering Town 6-2 Strensall Tigers

British Sugar League Division 2, 27/03/06

The first ten minutes was dreadful. Pickering went 2-0 down., but they never gave up. Magnificent defending by Leng and Newitt kept us in the game. Twenty minutes left until half time Thackrey controlled the ball from a corner in the penalty box and he got takled (P.S. was a good dive mate!).

Bowling with a cool head slotted it away. The crowd was cheering us on, showing us a lot of encouragement. Five mins left now until half time Pikes got a corner, it got headed away and Roades smacked it into the corner.

The half time whistle went, everyone was eager to get going again. Newitt was playing some awesome through balls (from Leng) But the best player on the pitch from half time was Danny he kept us in the game over more than 1 occasion. He saved loads of shots by their big striker.

The Pikes' magnificent left and right wing was doing beautiful high crosses into the box. Then the Pikes got 3 goals by Freer!

This game was about who was going to become the champions of the table. Pickering were obviously the best team. Then Rhodes finished them off. Cal Dent came on and made sure our defending was up 2 scratch and had a big impact to the game.
