Brayton Shine

By Ashley Heely
Carlton 0 - 2 Brayton Wanderers

Selby District Junior League U9's Green division, 25th March 2006

Brayton moved above Carlton in the table after a fine away display. Despite missing four players, the visitors started confidently with Tomlinson and man of the match Heeley running the midfield while striker Raddings was causing the Carlton defence problems with some strong runs.

It wasn't long before Tomlinson opened the scoring from the edge of the box after good work by Leung. With Summerscales and Smiles performing well at the back, Brayton looked comfortable and extended their lead through another Tomlinson strike from a Heeley corner.

The second half remained scoreless despite Brayton continuing to play some good football however Carlton were denied thanks to a fine late stop from Wanderers keeper White.
