Fulford fail in three goal fight

By James Clark
Woodthorpe Wanderers B 3 - 0 Fulford B

 Mitchell League Under 10s B, 4.12.05

Fulford began well. From the kick off they were straight on the attack with James pushing through the middle, with strong support.

"Woodthorpe deserved their win"

But once Woodthorpe took control of the ball their big no.8 could not be taken off it and and two quick goals for Woodthorpe followed.

In the second half Fulford's pacey mid-fielder Jordan had the best of Fulford's opportunities but a goal would not come.

Seconds later, Woodthorpe again broke through, leading to their third and final goal.

On a cold morning the condition of the pitch, especially the heavily sanded goal mouths made good football hard to play, but Woodthorpe deserved their win.
