The Big Draw is for kids and adults of all ages

If you love drawing and fancy taking part in some cool art events, then get your pens ready for this year's The Big Draw.

Good drawing only takes a bit of enthusiasm and this month you can take part in one of the biggest drawing events in the UK.

The Big Draw, led by The Campaign for Drawing is launched on Saturday 1 October, 2005.

It has one big ambition - to get the whole country putting pen to paper. Now in its sixth year, nearly a million people have taken part.

Thousands of places from the UK's biggest museums to the smallest village halls will be encouraging everyone to draw.

You can use charcoal, pencils, chalk, or the click of your computer mouse. The event is a chance to experiment and unleash your creativity.

Drawing helps us to think and express ourselves - and it's free! All you need is a pencil or pen and sheet of paper.
