Producers of Waiting For Godot are launching a search for two boys to appear in the production. If you are aged between 10 and 15 years old, you could win the opportunity of performing with acting royalty. Waiting For GodotThe producers of Waiting For Godot, a play that will be performed at Norwich Theatre Royal, are recruiting two young actors to work alongside Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Open auditions will be held at The Garage in Norwich. The first round will begin at 3.30pm on Thursday, 22 January, 2009. Norfolk has a plethora of young acting talent and it is expected that huge numbers will turn up to the auditions. A unique opportunity"This truly is a unique opportunity to act alongside two of this country's finest performers," said John Bultitude from the Norwich Theatre Royal. "Here at the theatre, we know there is a wealth of junior talent out there and now we have a great opportunity to show just how rich and strong that talent is," he added. Sir Ian McKellen will be well known by the potential cast members, for his role in Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings movies. From Star Trek to Lord Of The RingsBetter known as Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings, Sir Ian has been a friend of Norwich Theatre Royal for many years and is a patron of the 250 Appeal, which saw the refurbishment of the venue in 2007. Patrick Stewart will also be on hand to make sure the new stars learn their lines at warp speed. Waiting For Godot runs at the Norwich Theatre Royal from Monday, 6 April - Saturday, 11 April, 2009.
