The venue, which can hold around 20,000 people, is usually used for concerts and sporting events.
A number of high-profile celebrities were then spotted in the city on Thursday evening.
According to reports, the celebration at the arena kicked off on Thursday with a much smaller event, where a reported 100 people were thought to attend.
