'My art is on Scotland's World Cup team bus'

Imagine entering a competition and then seeing your artwork displayed on your country's World Cup team bus.

Well that's exactly what happened to 13-year-old Sean from Dundee.

His winning design was inspired by Scotland's historic victory over Denmark last November, which secured the team's place at the tournament.

As an added bonus, Sean and his dad were also flown to the US to see Scotland take on Haiti in their opening match.

Sean said he decided to combine his love of art and football for his competition entry.

He took inspiration from Scotland's 4-2 win over Denmark, which meant that the team made it through to their first men's World Cup in nearly 30 years.

The match got off to an incredible start, with Scott McTominay securing the first goal within three minutes with a stunning overhead kick.

Sean said that moment inspired his design.

He explained: "It's like a mix of celebrations.

"(Scott) McTominay holding the corner flag when he's scored or they've won against Denmark, then there's a wee group celebrating.

"I've got the word Scotland in a very Scottish font on top, with the words underneath saying No Scotland, No Party".

Sean's art and design teacher, then sent off the school's competition entries - including his design.

Sean said he couldn't believe it when he dad told him that he had won.

"It took me a while to process it, but once I did I was over the moon, really excited," he added.

Not only did Sean's artwork get picked to be featured on Scotland's team bus, but he was also flown out to Boston for Scotland's opening match against Haiti - where he finally got to see the bus with his design in person.

Sean explained: "When I first spotted it, it was at the end of the street. I was so excited.

"Once we got to the bus we took some photos in case we didn't see it again. The bus looks great."
